Calibration Of Traffic Micro-Simulation for Modelling the Effects Of Autonomous Vehicle Integration on Traffic Safety

This study aimed to develop a system to calibrate a traffic micro-simulation from the perspectives of traffic and safety in relation to a real-world data set using Aimsun software. Afterward, the impact of implementing AVs on preselected criteria was analyzed through simulation. The model was calibrated and validated using real-world traffic data, ensuring its reliability and accuracy in capturing the behavior of vehicles in a traffic environment.
